Lover.ly Fashion Coordinator, Lindsay, knows the first question (demand?) every bride gets after announcing she’s engaged — “Let’s see the ring!” She’s gathered a great inspiration board of images with unique ways of showing off that bling. Exquisite photographs and unique ideas! Does anyone else love the dinosaur as much as we do?

Browsing Pinterest on Halloween turned up some rather, um, interesting results… Most of the wedding-related items were a little over the top, but then we came across this beautiful color palette and Halloween wedding inspiration board. Originally designed by One Fab Day, an online wedding magazine based in Ireland, this mood board was even titled perfectly: “Spookishly Chic”. We love the black, grey and peach palette, as well as the elements of fun like Spooky Sweets!
Wedding dishes, a spin on the classic ring bearer pillow, can be and integral part of your wedding ceremony and then a keepsake for years to come. As they become more popular we are seeing not only your standard “To Have and to Hold” style dishes, but also custom dishes with your own phrase or wedding date. Below are some favorites we found on Etsy!
Roller Derby Girl Jennifer and her husband Matt brought great style and attention to detail to their Marquee wedding. The bold colors, peacock feather accents and vintage details made this evening stand out. Bride Jennifer, with a little help from Etsy and her computer, made all of the printed materials which added to the vintage flair. (We especially loved the Mad Libs!) She made the favors, too — Onyx Moonshine. It was a fun, energetic celebration here at Marquee Events!
We’re seeing more and more succulents trending in wedding floral design and we love it! These little beauties, which come in a variety of shapes, sizes and even colors are perfect for adding a modern touch to any occasion. With their elegant (yet nontraditional) style, they can be used by themselves or accompanied with flowers. Our favorite detail, however, is the fact that you can plant them after your big day as a keepsake and constant reminder of your beautiful event.
As promised, here is the second segment of Jayme and Kile’s beautiful holiday wedding. We loved so many of the details, from the elegant flowers by Just For You Floral Design to the handmade items by Jayme herself. Yes, you read that right — she did the menus, table numbers, programs and even the calligraphy on the escort cards! We simply loved all of these details which made this occasion so memorable.

While Marquee is known for our Art Deco style, usually it’s our crystal chandeliers in the Gershon Fox Ballroom which make the most memorable first impression. An elegant backdrop for any event!

Marissa and Tyler chose Marquee as their wedding venue all the way from Florida! They then brought that Florida sunshine with them when it was time for their big day. Photographs below by Candace Jeffery Photography. Flowers were by Lane and Lenge and Epic Filmakers caught the occasion on film.
