The Connecticut Historical Society Museum & Library has an exhibit through April 30th about Beatrice Fox Auerbach!
“Beatrice Fox Auerbach (1887-1968) is one of the most famous women in Connecticut history. Mention her or the G. Fox & Co. department store to anyone over 40 who grew up in Connecticut, and you’re bound to hear a personal story or recollection.”
This exhibition includes more than 100 garments, shoes, and personal accessories from her childhood to maturity, ranging from the 1890s to the 1960s. Click here to learn more on their website.
We are very excited to share our new event brochure with you! Click here to view/download it online. It’s full of all new gorgeous photography and an updated list of our wonderful preferred vendors! We did some digging through the archives at 960 Main and we found the most amazing collection of old photographs from G. Fox & Co. that we are thrilled to share in a new #ThrowbackThursday series. We’re starting with an image of the overall view of the main floor. Isn’t it fantastic?
